Cook from what you already have
This tool compares the ingredients of every recipe on the site with what you've ticked, and ranks the results by how little you'd need to buy. Recipes you can make right now come first, followed by those missing one or two things. Salt, oil, sugar and everyday spices like turmeric, cumin and chilli are assumed, so you don't need to tick them.
Tips for better results
- Tick onion, tomato, garlic, ginger and green chilli if you have them: most South Asian dishes start with these.
- Yogurt, eggs, potatoes and lentils are usually in the kitchen and unlock a lot of recipes.
- If you only have one main ingredient, such as chicken or paneer, tick it and look at the "missing" list to plan your shopping.
- Use the filters to find something quick, vegetarian, or from a particular cuisine.
